Ms. Bethea was the Director of Communications and Dissemination for the National COVID-19 Resiliency Network (NCRN) at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), guiding the strategic direction for applied health communications research, national partnership development, digital media (web, mobile apps), media relations, and dissemination evaluation.

NCRN originated from the National Infrastructure for Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 within Racial and Ethnic Minority Communities (NIMIC) Initiative, a three-year $40 million cooperative agreement between the Human and Health Services Office of Minority Health and MSM to engage and support a network of community-based organizations across the nation to deliver education, information and resources to help fight the pandemic.

Ms. Bethea led national partnership onboarding market launch of web and mobile app (https://www.covid-resources.org), yielding 14K users and 630 subscribers over a 12-month period (Year 1 of grant) and oversaw paid social strategy for NCRN’s Facebook and Instagram, yielding a reach of 1,027,513 over a 12-month period (Year 2 of grant).

Reviewtoaction.org

Review to Action is a online repository of approaches states take to monitor maternal and infant deaths and how they may be prevented. It guides other states who are interested in starting or strengthen their own efforts.

With this project, we led the kickoff meeting to effectively understand the client’s goals and objectives; guided content strategy after the facilitation of a card sorting exercise and subsequently developed the site map for engineers to program into an interactive website.
